Interior Design-Lounge, Darras Hall
We were delighted to work with Hayley and Michael on their Lounge Interior Design project in Darras Hall.
Three years earlier they had pretty much rebuilt the house, then ran out of steam, giving it a coat of magnolia just before their baby arrived. Now three years later, they wanted to make their very large lounge into a cosy family lounge with a New England vibe.
We worked with Hayley to fully understand her taste and budget, presented the mood board and obtained quotes from the trades.
The room was a total blank canvas, nothing was to stay. The existing furniture was re-homed in other rooms in their house.
The clients wanted bespoke units for the two large alcoves either side of the fire and to replace the carpet with a wooden herringbone floor. We recommended a joiner we had worked with before and scheduled the work.
The media unit was designed and built to the client's requirements, with one alcove media unit and the other a tasteful bar area.
The decorator painted the whole room and returned to paint the media unit once it was installed.
We sourced a new large corner sofa, coffee and side tables, a console table, a pair of beautiful occasional chairs, console table, large mirror and lighting,
New blinds and bespoke window dressings were installed.
We styled the room with soft furnishings, accessories and a large rug to create a cosy room with New England vibes.
