Stylish blush pink bedroom
Blush pink continues to be on trend. You can see examples of it everywhere and in all rooms: bedrooms, kitchens and lounges. I do like to shop locally but sometimes, for trends, the High street stores do really well especially TK Maxx, Next and M&S.
When choosing a trend, my advice would be to make sure it's something you really like. If it's a colour, use it as an accent, so it can be easily changed when you tire of it.
This room was designed for a thirteen year old girl but I'm sure most grown ups would be happy with it. A photographer that was taking pictures for a feature thought it was the Master bedroom.
For the design of this room, although it looks like a fair bit of blush pink it's actually mainly in the accessories with the exception being the feature wall.
Three walls are painted in Farrow and Ball Cornforth white with the woodwork in white eggshell, whilst the chimney breast is papered in Cole & Sons Whimsical stars wallpaper (2 rolls required).
The accessories on the dressing table are from TK Maxx, the bedding, ceiling light and cushions are from Next, the wall art above the bed is from FY and Posterstore, framed using Ikea Ribba frames.
The bed and dressing table are from Ikea and the drawers at either side of the bed were bought from a shop on Ebay. The wardrobes were painted with white chalk paint and are vintage (old to me and you!).
If you have any questions about any of this, feel free to drop me a message.
This week I've been working with a client, styling their home to put on the market. I'll share tips on my next blog about styling a home to sell. Make sure you are on the mailing list, so you don't miss it.
